What is Onychomycosis

It’s a fungal infection of the nail. Toe or finger nails can be affected, but is more commonly found in toe nails.

Fungal nail symptoms include:

  • the nail appearing white or yellow in colour
  • thickening of the nail
  • separation of the nail from the nail bed
What causes Onychomycosis?

It’s caused by an infection in the nail – several different types of fungus can cause this including dermatophytes and fusarium, and is common in moist, warm climates.
